Gloria is a yogi, devotee, sister, and a mentor. Born and raised in Hawai`i, she carries aloha, rainbows, and oceanic views with her wherever she goes. As the 10th child of Filipino immigrants, she has a worldy and compassionate view, appreciating all types of people and the unique struggles each person has.

Gloria is the Founder of Shivakali Yoga and the Program Director of Ratna Ling Retreat Center. As a Lead Trainer, she has certified over 300 students around the world in 200-hour and 300-hour Yoga Teacher Trainings, teaching philosophy, history, anatomy, physiology, methodology, ritual, mantra, kirtan, and meditation. She has hosted retreats in Bali, Hawaii, Costa Rica, California, West Virginia, Utah, Nicaragua, Iceland, Portugal, and India. At Ratna Ling, she produces a variety of retreats to support folks who need to bring more balance and peace into their otherwise busy, modern, or stressful lives.
With the expertise of teaching 12,000+ hours and facilitating 50+ wellness retreats, Gloria provides spiritual counseling and wisdom to folks going through a major life change, transition, loss, or death. She is blessed to have received teachings in the Catholic, Bahaʻi, Hawaiian, Vaishnava, and Tibetan Buddhist traditions. She offers her respects to her parents, Rigolette and Claudio Baraquio, and to her spiritual teachers: Srila Prabhupad, Chogyam Trungpa, Tarthang Tulku, HH the Dalai Lama, Thich Nhat Hahn, Rev.
