A Sacred Pause

APRIL 4-6, 2025 at Ratna Ling Retreat Center

Are you feeling a bit more anxious or nervous lately?  Are global, national, and personal events feeling more overwhelming than usual?

When our world feels out of control or things feel uncertain and unpredictable, the most beneficial thing might be to slow down, to stop, and to not add to the chaos and commotion thatʻs already ensuing.

The antidote might be to take a sacred pause, to take a deep breath. Enter a space of non-doing.  Create a space for meditation, contemplation, reflection, acceptance, and surrender. As we allow movements and mind chatter to settle, we touch a space of deep wisdom and knowing, a space without words or concepts. We discover that, even if we donʻt know all the answers to all of our questions, we have what we need to take care of ourselves, and maybe others.   Sometimes the answer is to just be here now, not obsess about the past or worry about the future. When we have access to our inner resources, the unknown becomes full of potential and possibility.

This weekend retreat is offered as a way to support folks who need some peace and quiet in the redwoods, away from the uncertainty that pervades our culture right now. We invite you to join us to take a sacred pause, to sit, to lay down, to be in nature, to meditate, and to come back to center, present with ourselves.
